Practice Candle 'Mountain'Nico began piano lessons at 5 years old. About a year later he started burning a drip candle over a wine bottle during practice. He continued to burn a candle throughout practice each day for the next 8 years and now it's a truly a candle mountain! It's been a wonderful concrete representation of all the hours of piano practice.
Since age 14 he continues to burn a candle during practice everyday, but practices are sometimes quite long and he can't always keep up with the candle purchases (each one burns for about 30 minutes). So although at least a candle or two burns during every practice, there's no longer a minute to minute correspondence between candle burn time and the time Nico spends at the piano everyday. But the candle mountain continues to grow... CandlestockIf you'd like to start a candle mountain of your own, drip candles aren't so easy to find. You can get them online via Candlestock.
